Dr. Allison Bridge graduated with honours from the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2011. Previous to optometry, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, graduating from Brock University on the Dean’s honour list. Dr. Bridge grew up in Shelburne, Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists as well as the Ontario Association of Optometrists. During her optometric training, Dr. Bridge had the opportunity to work alongside several ophthalmologists, locally in Newmarket as well as in Niagara Falls. Through these externships she gained valuable experience in the newest ocular disease treatments and in the pre- and post- operative care of cataract and laser surgery patients. She enjoys all aspects of providing comprehensive vision care to her patients and has a special interest in contact lenses and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Bridge and her husband are excited to now call Newmarket their home and they look forward to being involved in the community. Dr. Bridge enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, playing volleyball and is currently a member of the Aurora Ladies Volleyball League.
