Dr. Terry Chalaturnyk graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Doctor of Optometry in 1978. After graduation, he worked with Dr. Price in Kitchener, Ontario before moving to his home province of Manitoba, where he gained experience in determining what kind of optometric practice he wanted to establish. In 1982, a small optometric practice was for sale in the town of Newmarket just north of Toronto. It did not take long to realize that this area would be the place to establish his optometric practice, as well as to raise his family, and it was this decision that led to the eventual creation of Chalaturnyk Optometric Group.
After forty years of practice, Dr. Chalaturnyk eventually retired in 2020. However, his patients still mention him fondly and he can even be found dropping by the office from time to time!
